| Taakomschrijving |

- Manufacturing process development, from test campaign definition to publication of process specifications.
- Mechanical tests definition, follow-up and reporting, in order to create allowable data to populate the handbooks, to support design or to validate production proposals.
- General support to the M&P advanced composite structures group (material and process specifications, Engineering test specifications and reports, meetings with suppliers and subcontractors, ...).
- Engineering support to Sonaca composite production team.
- Support to project leader: organize progress meetings with SONACA project team, prepare progress presentations for European consortium, follow-up achievement of project deliverables.

| Profiel |
|---|
- Civil engineer in Materials Sciences or in Mechanics or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in a similar function.
- Knowledge:
o Composite aerospace materials (especially carbon reinforced thermoset resins), their mechanical characteristics and their processing methods;
o Composite manufacturing experience is an asset;
o Excellent theoretical knowledge of the main physical-chemical and mechanical test methods to characterise composite materials and assemblies (tensile testing, ILSS, bearing, impact, toughness,..., DMA, DSC,...). A previous experimental background in this field is an asset;
o Basic knowledge of composite structure calculation methods: classical lamination theory, failure criteria for composites, micro-mechanics,... ;
o Knowledge of the non-destructive inspection techniques.
- Computer tools: Microsoft tools, Unix work stations, Catia software is an asset.
- Language: French / English, good technical writing capabilities in English.
- Others:
o Experienced in reporting (technical notes and reports) and specification writing (M&P specifications, test specifications,... );
o Project management experience is an asset;
o Team-work oriented, interest for aerospace.
